It must be the Calla Lily....

3 tier round cake, height 4in, width 14in (1st tier), 10in (2nd tier) and 8in (3rd tier), it can cater to about 400pax and price at RM690 inclusive of design.

I made this wedding cake for my friend's daughter, Natalia. Both mom Liza (my friend) and daughter are nuts about calla lily that it was only appropriate to adorned it on the cake too. Since fresh flowers aren't easily available we resort to having artificial one that look fresh and natural. So flowers in hand and imported all the way from China as the wedding cake topper!!

The 3 tier 13kg Light Butter Fruit cake was covered in white Fondant icing and lace in conneli design touch up a bit with silver dragees. I used a 6in dummy as a stand instead of the normal pillar and i glue the stalk onto the dummy with royal icing. It looks like the Calla Lily was arrange as if it is inside the cake.

The cake however was a bit shaky when we were about to assemble it. Though i know it wouldn't fall i did sought help from the Pastry Chef whom willingly adjusted with royal icing! Once again, I had an encounter with my miracle angel that day..the pastry chef and so ever helpful Floor Manager and i whisper a thank you note to God....(smile).

This is the first time i design such a cake and i feel proud that its part of Nata's and Farid BIG Day!! Congratulations again to the bride and Groom whom tied the knot on 17th September 2010 during the akad nikah ceremony at the bride residence in Likas and a lunch reception on 18th September 2010 at Promenade hotel.
