Let them eat cake

I did this cake version years ago and in different colors. This cake was all design by the couple whom were tying the knot. I only add a few details here and there to complete the 'look'.

 A combination of yellow flower petal and yellow roses in silver ribbon for a wedding in January 2012 as requested by Helena for her sister in law

 3 tier pink wedding cake for Lyndiana's cousin. I used the silver string decoration to enhance the 'look' and to match it with the silver dragees. I did a cake design like this 2 years back and she (Lyndiana ) requested the same design..which i willingly obliged :-)

A 2 tier carrot walnut cheese engagement cake for Leng -leng. She is also a Pink fanatic. However mom says the flower must be in red. So mom won being a Chinese descendant, red is a must on an event like this..:D

Gotcha cake

Another couple who tied the knot in February 2012. The Bride Judy is from Kota Kinabalu Sabah and worked in Kuala Lumpur where she met her husband. She send me a photo of the wedding cake that they favor and the topper!  Since the topper were not available here in Kota Kinabalu she brought it all the way from Kuala Lumpur. Judy and her husband is the first couple i work with that goes all the way to add humor in their first day as husband and wife. I would say that is a pretty good sign to start a marriage i supposed..:-)

Haha.. "Gotcha topper" now belong to me to be rent out to the next lovely couple.:D..

Romantic in shades of Pink

I just have one word for this - Gorgeous! Everything about this wedding from the bride, the family, the setting, decorations, flowers and of course the cake is just GORGEOUS. It begun in a simple tele inquiry about the wedding cake last November (bride working in Kuala Lumpur) to the day i met her (January 2012) and on her BIG Day(February 2012).. she is simply Gorgeous not just in her look but also in her personality. Her groom is one lucky fella...

Alexander and Jaclyn - saying "I Do" on the 25th January 2012

The Bride and Groom said " I DO" and wedding cake assemble awaits for the newlywed to cut the cake and made a toast to begin their journey as husband and wife. Congrats to Alexander and Jaclyn and thank you for sharing your joy with us (family and friends).

The butter cake was design to resemble a wedding dress and covered in white fondant icing with conneli lace.

Happy New Year everyone!

Sad as it is to say goodbye to the year 2011,  i welcome 2012 with a ray of hope, of happy baking and looking forward to sharing my knowledge of baking and decorating cakes.

The year 2011 to me had been a year full of colors, sharing the joy of sheer blisfull happiness of others whom are celebrating a new life together, a new bundle of joy or just welcoming another promising and hopeful year with loves one and friends...What a delicious beautiful way to share the sweetness of the day no other than the cake cutting ceremony..:D.

Wedding hantaran for Dg Suhimah to her hubby. There was actually a wording "our love is a gift from God" hand written in betweeen the conneli design. 

1 pc of wedding cake for my nephew's Aljay friend. There were actually a 50pc of cup cake that supposed to surround the cake in which i did not took the picture. wedding reception in June 2011

A 2 tier wedding cake for my nephew Harland and his bride naomi. It is another theme of the traditional costume from Dusun Lotud in Tuaran. As the bride is from Tambunan, i put the "Sompoton" music instrument as the topper and because the Groom also played the Sompoton.

Anniversary cake for Denis and his wife as requested by their daughters. Please excuse the spelling on the word "Anniversary". 

3 tier wedding cake for Stilla n Jillah in Menggatal. They wanted a Tiger Lily as the flower for their cake. I couldnt manage to do a sugar flower because of the short notice so we resort to artificial flowers. wedding reception was held in September 2011

Jeena's 2 tier wedding cake. The 2nd tier is about 7 in tall.. and so the cake weigh at approximately 10kg. It was dusted with silver n a bit of pink pearl dust. The topper are fresh red roses.

The fondant covered cake for a birthday celebration in June 2011 as requested by Datin Asidah. Another cake accompanied with 100 pc of cupcake with a similar design as the single cake.

2011 definitely a colorful year to me.. some were painted with black and white and others in the brightness of rainbow. As beautiful as the rainbow it holds a promise of a better day in each sunrise. So everyone happy New Year 2012.. may it be colorful and as sweet n beautiful as the cake u hold in your hand.:-)

Creamy wedding cake

A 12kg butter walnut cake covered in a creamy fondant icing with red roses and connely design in the 2nd tier. I used the vine and floral design on the bottom and third tier to give it a soft contrast. The cake was drape in a vanilla fondant icing from top to bottom. Color coordination was in accordance with the color on the invitation card and detail design of cake was initiated by TJ's mom.

Purple wedding cake

Purple cake for a wedding in May.. Both cakes were for a wedding celebrated on the same day and both couple chose purple as their theme color for their BIG day.

A wedding doll as the topper for the first cake. The cake was covered with fondant icing and lace with connelly design. The bride chose a light purple ribbon which was made from icing with a bow on it. The second ribbon is a satin lavender ribbon.

The view of the overall cake... The cake is also lace with connely design and alternate with white and purple roses. The name of the bride and groom and the date of the wedding day was written on the bottom tier of the cake. It just complete the whole idea of LOVE, FAITH n HOPE which was seal with a vow in a holy matrimony celebration on the 28th May 2011.
